Meet the Group
Founder + President
Danielle E. Burruss is the daughter of Cedric & Trina Burruss. She was baptized on April 28, 2013, at Elim Christian Fellowship, Buffalo, NY at the age of 16. On October 14, 2018, Danielle rejoined her childhood church, First Shiloh Baptist Church, Buffalo, NY. In addition to attending service at First Shiloh, Danielle also tunes into sermons from Transformation Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma every week.
She is a graduate of Buffalo State College where she majored in Public Relations + Advertising. In addition to being the Founder + President of G&G Empowerment Group (GGEG), Danielle is the Communications Coordinator at Neighborhood Health Center, Owner + Graphic Designer of Burruss Designs and Co-owner of The Mahogany Events Venue in Tonawanda, New York.
Danielle has also had several internships with The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, BlueCross BlueShield of WNY and the Office of NYS Assemblyman Sean Ryan.
Danielle is very involved with Say Yes Buffalo, where she served as President for the SYB Ambassador Program in 2018. She has also volunteered with Roswell Park and the Juneteenth Festival since she was a very young age. In recognition of her dedication to the SYB program and her community, Danielle was awarded the first [BN]spired Athena Award from The Buffalo News in 2017.
In her spare time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to her favorite artist, India Arie and shopping.
Danielle is an ambitious, God-fearing woman, looking to shape her community and introduce her peers to Jesus. Through GGEG, Danielle hopes to build sisterhood within her community and join young women on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves, despite life's obstacles.
